MAIN GOAL:The BiotechSTARS project aims to foster a culture of bio-entrepreneurship through a coordinated set of initiatives designed to identify, encourage, and develop innovative ideas among biotechnology stakeholders, with the goal of driving the creation of new sustainable business ventures in the Central Region.

9. TOTAL ELIGIBLE COST: 475.096,42 EUR, with Biocant – Technology Transfer Association responsible for 115.967,11 EUR

10. FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION: 403.831,95 EUR, of which 98.572,04 EUR is allocated to Biocant – Technology Transfer Association.

11. OBJECTIVES, ACTIVITIES, AND EXPECTED/ACHIEVED RESULTS

1. Stimulate and support the generation and development of innovative ideas with entrepreneurial potential;
2. Provide training in entrepreneurship and innovation, taking into account the specific characteristics of the biotechnology sector;
3. Promote networking and collaboration among biotechnology companies, researchers, and bio-entrepreneurs;
4. Support and encourage investment fundraising with a view to creating new companies in the biotechnology sector;
5. Educate younger generations on the topics of bio-entrepreneurship and innovation;
6. Raise public awareness of entrepreneurship in the field of biotechnology.
